From Data Criminalization to Prison Abolition

This report and website provide frameworks and tools for organizers who are working to oppose the interlocking systems of incarceration, criminalization, and social control. In the report, we examine the machineries of migrant surveillance and describe processes of data criminalization. The website also includes a bestiary, a compendium of DHS and criminal system databases and analytic systems used to stalk and criminalize migrants.

On March 1st, 2020, we launched the resource through a virtual panel with abolitionist organizers and thinkers who made connections between surveillance capitalism, border imperialism, and neoliberal prison reforms.
